Student Terms and Conditions
We do understand that there are certain circumstance’s that are beyond control but we are a small training school, and sadly we have to have terms and conditions in place.
Venue’s, training kits and other operational costs are paid by us in advance.
A non-refundable deposit is payable upon booking a course with the Jenna Leigh Training Academy. These deposits vary depending on the total cost of the course chosen.
If you change your mind or are unable to attend the course you deposit will be forfeited.
If you are unable to attend the course due to unforeseen circumstances or illness you may book onto a later course.(This is offered at the discretion of the Jenna Leigh Training Academy and may not always be possible).
If you do not attend 2 or more sessions without prior notice your space on the course will no longer be retained.
If you do not pass the course first time you may need to re-do the course or pay extra for additional examinations.
To reschedule a course there is a £50 admin fee if done before two weeks of the course date or if within the two weeks. the course is non refundable and there can only one change of date permitted.
All requests for cancellations and changes must be confirmed in writing by letter or email.
All courses are non refundable.
All materials supplied by Jenna Leigh Training Academy must not be copied or used in any way. All material is subject to copyright and must not be reproduced in any form.
A deposit towards the course cost is required to secure a place and bookings must be made in advance.
This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment must be made in full two weeks before the course.
Failure to pay balance will result in cancelation of your training.
Any balances due on the day of training will remain due in the event of cancellation.
The Training school reserves the right to re-allocate the course place to another delegate if fees are not paid in time.
We do not send out payment reminders.
Students that act inappropriately or act dangerously will be dismissed/ asked to leave.
Students will be required to pair up and work on each other. All students are responsible for their own clients/models to work on and demonstrate the practical skills during the course.
Jenna Leigh Training Academy reserves the right to alter course dates & venues at any time without prior notice.
All students must practice whilst on the course.
Certificates that are lost, misplaced or damaged that require re-issued will be chargeable at £20 per certificate required. You must provide the training date and your full name so we can identify your registration.
The payment of balance for the course needs to be paid in full at least 14 days before attending your course, unless you have agreed an alternative payment plan. Receipts for all payments will be provided via email upon request. If the full payment is not made 14 days before the course start date your space will be cancelled.
Refund Policy We regret that course fees or deposits can only be refunded in full if a course is cancelled by the Training Academy for any reason. We regret that we cannot provide refunds for deposits, tuition fees, kits or examinations fees in cases of illness, personal problems, relocation or change of work or any other reason which may mean you have to cancel or leave your course.
Travel, accommodation costs will not be covered by the Training Academy in the case of cancellation.
We are not responsible for any loss or damage of personal belongings during the classes or items left behind after the training.
You must agree to put in the time and effort required to perfect your skill. You will not be passed off if it is thought that you have not applied enough time or dedication to your practice. Any extra training days that are required outside of the planned training schedule may be charged.
You will be supplied with the fundamental knowledge during your training, which will enable you to carry out safe and effective procedures. You must take initiative when required and seek support from your trainer only when needed.
Your trainer is there only to support your training needs. They will not be responsible for dealing with any of your personal issues related to your business.
Your trainer will be on hand for your support between their scheduled working hours only. Out of hours contact will be addressed on their next working day. Please do-not contact trainers on their personal contact numbers or social media out of hours.
Please use the support groups supplied by the Training Academy to help with your development.
The student must accept that there may be some extra costs associated with the training upon completion. For example the purchase of extra kit or supplies.
Some of our courses come with a basic starter kit. Please ask if you are unsure. If we do-not supply a kit with your particular course, we will be able to provide you supplier information so that you can purchase your own kit.
The training academy have the right to reschedule training courses where required, this may be due to staff illness or not enough students booked onto the training course. We will do our best to notify you of any changes to your training date ASAP.
There must be a minimum of 2 students booked onto each course for it to go ahead. In the unlikely event that the course does not have enough students in attendance you will be transferred to the next available date and issued a £20 voucher off the total amount of the course.
SPMU & MICROBLADING – In order to enrol to practice on live models you must have the following in place: (may be course specific)
Complete blood borne pathogen course.
Inquire about local licensing requirements with your local council.
Secure student insurance. This must be in place before carrying out case studies.
Models and practical practice:
Students must be able to supply at least ONE model for the duration of the training. If you are unable to supply model you must inform the training school at least 14 days prior to the course start date so that we can organise a model for you, however please be aware this is not guaranteed and we prefer for security for students to secure their own models.
Students must supply their own models and suitable working space to complete case studies where required.
Trainee Code of Conduct
We expect all trainees to comply with management and to conform to the Jenna Leigh Training Academy rules at all times. If these rules are disregarded or the trainees behaves wrongly in some other way Jenna Leigh Training Academy may discipline trainees.
Disciplinary action can consist of a formal oral warning, written warning,and a final written warning.
Rules

Trainees should comply with the terms of their course.

Trainees should satisfactorily perform the instructions given for carrying out the function of their course .

Trainees should satisfactorily perform any reasonable request relating to their function by an authorised trainer.

All absence from course, except for reasons of sickness, should be authorised.

There should be proper and authorised use of Jenna Leigh Training Academy equipment, time and property.

Making of long or numerous private telephone calls (and emails) is not permitted.

Removal of Jenna Leigh Training Academy property from the premises without permission is not permitted.

All safety rules should be adhered to at all times.

Safety equipment should be used at all appropriate times.

Threatening, aggressive or violent behaviour or language is not permitted and may lead to dismissal – this applies during course

Discriminatory behaviour, language, or non-verbal language is not permitted.

Harassment of individuals, whether sexual or otherwise, is not permitted.

Bullying of individuals, in any form, is not permitted.

Behaviour or actions that would in any way jeopardise the safety or well-being of other trainers or trainees is not permitted.

Unnecessary disclosure of confidential information concerning the work of Jenna Leigh Training Academy or its trainees is not permitted (this does not affect the trainees rights under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998).

The drinking of alcohol or the taking of illegal drugs on Jenna Leigh Training Academy premises is not permitted.

Smoking or drinking on Jenna Leigh Training Academy premises is not permitted.

trainees must not behave in a way that brings or may bring Jenna Leigh Training Academy into disrepute.

trainees will not bring sexually explicit material (pornographic) into the workplace or engage in inappropriate sexually explicit conversation within the workplace.

Trainees will treat guests and clients with respect at all times.

Trainees will dress in a manner suitable for the workplace.

Shouting and verbal intimidation is also seen as unacceptable and will constitute gross misconduct.

All training materials as training manuals are under copyright and all trainees understand those documents can not be use for 3rd party or different purposes (legal action can be taken).
